3 Ingredient Sausage Breakfast Squares - So good!

Sausage squares are incredibly tasty and easy to make with just 3-ingredients.

This hearty and delicious sausage breakfast casserole with crescent rolls is perfect for when you want to make something special for breakfast on the weekend or for a brunch party.

The easy sausage bake is also great to make ahead and enjoy as a quick heat and go breakfast on busy weekday mornings.

And yes, I know that my sausage squares are cut into rectangles. But let’s not talk about that–on to the easy recipe!

Sausage Squares

All you need are 3 ingredients for this easy sausage breakfast casserole recipe.

Ingredients:

  • crescent rolls
  • breakfast sausage
  • cream cheese

Kitchen Supplies:

  • 9 x 13 baking sheet (quarter sheet) or pan
  • large skillet

How to Make Sausage Breakfast Casserole with Crescent Rolls

From start to finish, this tasty breakfast bake will be on the table in under 30 minutes.

Sausage and cream cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F and spray or grease a 9 x 13 baking sheet or pan.
  2. Brown the sausage in a large skillet. Drain and stir in cream cheese until well mixed.

  1. Spread one roll of crescent dough out from edge to edge onto a 9 x 13 baking sheet or baking pan.
  2. Top with sausage mixture, spreading it out evenly to about ¼ inch from the edge.

  1. Cover with the second sheet of crescent roll dough. Spread the dough out to cover the sausage and press to seal up the ends.

  1. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Cut into squares (or rectangles like we did) and garnish with green onions if desired.

Serve and enjoy!

Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave for a quick and easy breakfast.

  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened
  • 2 8 oz tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
  • green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 F. Spray or grease a 9 x 13 baking sheet or baking pan.
  • Brown sausage in a skillet. Drain. Stir in cream cheese until well mixed. Set aside.
  • Spread one roll of crescent dough out from edge to edge onto a non-stick baking sheet (or baking sheet coated with non-stick spray).
  • Top with sausage mixture, spreading it out evenly until ¼ in. from the edge.
  • Cover with the second sheet of crescent roll dough. Spread the dough out to cover the sausage and press to seal up the ends.
  • Bake uncovered until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Cut into squares. Garnish with green onions before serving, if desired.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers and reheat portions in the microwave.
