How to Make Cookie Dough Dip
- Whip cream cheese and butter in the bowl of a stand mixer or with a hand mixer.
- Add sugars, vanilla, and salt; mix until smooth.
- Use a spatula to fold in chocolate chips
- Serve immediately, with graham crackers, pretzels, nilla wafers, etc… for dipping.
Recipe Tips
- GARNISH: Reserve 10-20 chocolate chips to sprinkle on top of the dip just before serving.
- ADD COLOR: For a burst of color try adding M&Ms or Mini M&Ms.
- SERVE WITH: This sweet dip pairs well with graham crackers, Nilla wafers, pretzels, animal crackers, Ritz crackers, or even fruit such as apples or strawberries.

how much of it do we mean
How long is this good in the fridge for?
It is best if enjoyed within 2-3 days.
Can you use semi sweet chocolate chips? Can you use dark brown sugar?
Yes, you can use semi sweet chips and dark brown sugar. Enjoy!
Do you have to use powder sugar
You don’t “have” to but I highly recommend it. The recipe is delicious, I hope that you give it a try!
this looks so good
Can you freeze?
Although I haven’t tried it myself (we have no problem finishing it within a day or two) it should do fine in the freezer.
Do you have to use unsalted butter
No, you can use salted butter instead and skip the additional salt.
it taste a bit bitter how can I fix it?
I haven’t experienced this issue. What kind of chocolate chips did you use?
Although delicious, it tastes nothing like “cookie dough”. More like a cheesecake with a hint of chocolate chip cookie dough because the cream cheese is pretty overwhelming.
What kind of crackers or cookies do you suggest for dipping?
My favorite dippers with this cookie dough dip are honey graham crackers or chocolate graham crackers. Pretzels are great for a sweet and salty combo. Nilla wafers, apple wedges, Ritz, animal crackers, or any type of cookie would also work well.
