4-Ingredient pot of gold pretzels make for an easy and fun St. Patrick’s Day treat for kids!
Are you looking for a fun St. Patrick’s Day dessert recipe that you can make with the kids?
Maybe you need something for that school party that your kids didn’t bother to tell you about until the last minute or maybe you just want a fun snack for yourself.
Either way, these Pot of Gold Pretzels are quick, easy, and so much fun.
Like our Lucky Charms Cereal Bars, this recipe calls for literally four ingredients. That’s it.
The most difficult part is unwrapping all the Rolo candies.
St. Patrick’s Day Treat for Kids
This recipe is kid-friendly, and the kids will love helping in the kitchen.
Children of almost any age can help with this recipe, especially the unwrapping part. Because who wants to do that?
You will want to make sure your children don’t get too close when the candy comes out of the oven though!
It’s a great recipe to get kids in the kitchen and help them learn that making things in the kitchen can be fun and tasty.
If you’ve got 30 minutes to spend in the kitchen, you’ll easily be able to make enough Pot of Gold Pretzels for a huge crowd or just a classroom of children.
Best of all, if your children were nice enough to let you know in advance that they need a snack for the party, you can make these 2 to 3 days ahead of time. And, if you and the kids happen to eat them all before the party, it won’t take long to make another batch.
Great for Grown-Ups Too
Now, if you want to do something sweet for your sweetheart for St. Patrick’s Day, make a batch of Pot of Gold Pretzels and pop them into a cute container. Add a message on the box that says, “You’re my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.” You’ll look like a romance rock star and it’s an unexpected little gift for your partner.
Whatever the reason, make a batch of these Pot of Gold Pretzels. Not only are they quick and easy to make, but they’re also delicious.
Here is what you will need:
- Waffle Style Pretzels
- Rolo Candies
- Xtreme Airhead Rainbow Bites
- Gold Sugar Crystals
Putting together the Pot of Gold Pretzels
Putting together these treats is quite simple. First, preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Next, place pretzels on parchment lined cookie sheet.
Add a Rolo to the corner of each pretzel.
Then, place pretzels in oven for about 2-3 minutes. Just enough time to soften the chocolate. Remove from oven.
Immediately sprinkle the top of each Rolo with gold sugar and add a rainbow bite in front of each Rolo. Let dry for 10-15 minutes and then they are ready to serve!
Enjoy and have a very happy St. Patrick’s Day!
