Whenever February rolls around I start to get in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit and begin whipping up shamrock shakes as often as I can. They are so minty, creamy, and inducing – your family is going to just love them! Plus, thanks to the green food coloring gel we use, they are the perfect shade of green to get you and the little ones in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit.
If you are wondering how to make a shamrock shake, it is easy and requires only a few ingredients. We used a standard blender but a hand blender stick would work just as well to make your shamrock shake.
This recipe makes enough for 1 (large) serving, but this recipe is easy to double or triple as necessary.
Shamrock Shake Ingredients:
- 3-4 large scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream
- 1 cup milk
- 2-3 drops green gel food coloring (we used leaf green)
- Whipped cream for topping
- Chopped chocolate mints for topping (or sprinkles!)
How to Make Shamrock Shakes
Add ice cream, milk, and food coloring to your favorite blender.
Then, pour into a tall glass and top with whipped cream and chopped chocolate mints or sprinkles.
