Spring flower pretzel bites are easy-to-make in 15 minutes using just 3 ingredients: snap pretzels, white chocolate melting wafers, and M&Ms.
They are similar to pretzel hugs, but in with a fun flower twist.
The pretty pastel pretzel flowers are great as a homemade Easter candy, Spring or Mother’s Day dessert, or to make with the kids just because.
If you were planning something like a garden-themed party they would be perfect as well!
Good luck having just one of these delicious Spring flower pretzel bites!
You will find that the classic salty-sweet flavor combo of chocolate and pretzels just can’t be beaten. So yummy! For more salty-sweet desserts try Ritz Cracker Thin Mints and Cookie Dough Dip paired with pretzels.
Ingredients
Pretzel Snaps: I grabbed a 1-lb family-size bag of Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Snaps. The square-shaped pretzels are perfect for this recipe. They hold the weight of the chocolate well. Get them in the chip aisle of your grocery store or order a large canister of them on Amazon.
White Chocolate Melting Wafers: I highly recommend the Ghirardelli brand Melting Wafers, but you could also use Wilton Candy Melts. The Ghiradelli brand melting wafers are larger, easier to work with and taste better in my option. You can find them in the baking aisle of your grocery store or on Amazon.
Milk Chocolate M&Ms: Easter M&Ms will give you beautiful pastel-colored flowers, but you could really use any M&Ms–your M&M pretzel flowers would just be different colors than the ones pictured. You can find the Easter M&Ms on Amazon or in the grocery store during March and April. I recommend grabbing 2 bags so that you have plenty of each color to work with. You can always use the extra to make these easy 5-ingredient M&M cookies.
How to Make Pretzel Flowers
As you will see below, these Spring pretzel bites are very easy to make. Be sure to check out my How to Make Spring Pretzel Bites web story as well!
Step one: Place pretzels on a silicone- or parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
Step two: Top each pretzel with a white chocolate melting wafer.
Step three: Bake at 225° F for 2-3 minutes, until the chocolate softens. The chocolate should not be melted, only softened.
Step four: Remove from oven and press an M&M in the center of each. Then surround the center M&M with 6 more M&Ms to make the flower’s petals.
Tip: Place M&Ms with the “M” side down for best results.
Step five: Allow the chocolate to set up, then enjoy!
Storage
Store pretzel flower bites in an airtight container at room temperature. They will keep for at least 2 weeks.
Recipe tips & variations
Microwave method: If you want to make just a few pretzel flowers at a time you can heat them in your microwave. Just arrange 8-10 pretzels on a microwave-safe plate and microwave until chocolate is soft, about 45-50 seconds.
Separate M&Ms: You will want to work quickly to place the M&Ms on the melted chocolate once the pretzels come out of the oven, so it helps to separate your M&Ms by color ahead of time. This way you don’t have to dig around looking for a specific color.
Holiday flowers: Use other holiday M&M mixes to create flower pretzel bites for other holidays and times of the year. Try Christmas
Chocolate harden?: If the white chocolate hardens while you are still working on creating your pretzel flowers simply pop the baking sheet back in the oven for a minute or two to soften the chocolate melts up again. Be sure to remove the completed flowers first so they don’t melt.

I find Ghiardelli white chocolate too hard to work with and too sweet. I used milk chocolate…much easier to work with, a bit thicker and larger, and tasted amazing. Looked as good as white chocolate.
Ummmm…..no!
Looks easy, but it is not. The M&Ms keep falling off of the pretzel (which is too small). Also, as you work with it, melted white chocolate gets on yiur fingers and transfers to the M&Ms which makes it look sloppy. I wouldn’t recommend making these. Not worth the aggravation.
What are pretzel bites. Thanks
Pretzel bites are just what we call small pretzel-based treats like these flowers or these Christmas pretzel treats.
Thank you for this cute idea, I’m going to make these for Easter for my grandkids 😊
super simple, festive, cute, delicious-perfect combo of sweet, savory, crunchy and creamy. very versitile with mnm colors, chocolates for centers. standard treat in my home now.
The flowers look & taste great. The only issue I have is that the written directions on the website do not match the recipe print out. For example: The microwave time.
These are super cute and super easy to make. Made them today with my almost 5 year old and she loved it.
while this was really cute it was not very easy to assemble. had a hard time getting all to assemble correctly white chocolate and mm’s didn’t fit really well but made work.
I just made a couple to see how they came out. All was fine. But when I tasted it was just too sweet. Husband didn’t like. six M&M’s and the meltable is just too sweet. Just our opinion.
ENJOYED making these simple and easy Easter treats for my grandson’s Easter party at school today! 😁😁😉
