  1. What kind of oil did you use in this recipe? Vegetable oil ? And can I add rose water for a little flavor?

    1. Hi Basma! We used vegetable oil but you can also use something like Mazola. As for the rose water I have not tried baking with rose water myself so I don’t know the answer to that one.

  2. Can I use yogurt instead of Greek yogurt? And use vanilla extract to substitute almond extract ?

  3. I had a bunch of Chobani Strawberry Fruit on the Bottom yogurt. I subbed that for the yogurt in the recipe, cut the sugar to 3/4 cup, and subbed out 1/4 cup of oil for 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce. It was delicious! I didn’t do the glaze, instead served like a strawberry shortcake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. A great end to a summer meal!

    1. So glad that you enjoyed it Amy! And thank you for letting us know that those subs all work out well– I am sure others who want to make the recipe will appreciate the info as well 🙂

  4. I usually have vanilla Greek yogurt. Can I use that instead? What adjustments should be made. Thank you.

  5. I made this recipe, using monk fruit sugar. I made it is a large pan and in smaller one. Either one of them was done. After more than 90 mins in the oven and burning on top ( put tin foil on top) it was done half way through. Not sure what the problem was, but will never make or recommend this recipe.
