- Fresh peaches: 2 Cups chopped or about 4 medium-size peaches. Fresh, ripe peaches will provide the best flavor but frozen peaches can be used instead, if needed.
- Water: You’ll need 2 cups of water for the peach syrup and 2 cups to add with the lemon juice.
- Sugar: Adjust sweetness to your taste or swap for a bit of honey or agave.
- Fresh Lemon juice: Freshly squeezed is key for the brightest flavor.
- Ice: Essential for serving cold and refreshing.
- Garnishes (optional): Fresh peach slices, lemon slices, and fresh mint sprigs.
Storage
Fridge: Store in a sealed pitcher or jar for up to 4 days. Stir before serving.
To make ahead: You can prepare the peach mixture and refrigerate it, then add lemon juice just before serving for the freshest flavor.
Tips for the Best Peach Lemonade
- Strain twice for extra-smooth lemonade.
- Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
- Roll lemons before juicing to get the most juice.
- Taste and adjust sugar after mixing in lemon juice.
Additions and variations
- Boozy twist: Add a splash of vodka or rum for an adult version.
- Sparkling peach lemonade: Top with sparkling water for bubbles.
- Herbal infusion: Add basil or thyme for a fresh herbal note.
- Popsicles: Pour the finished lemonade into popsicle molds and freeze for a frozen treat.
