Can you believe that St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow?! This year is just flying right by!

While many people are making alcoholic drinks to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, there are also plenty of festive green drinks that you can enjoy with your family that are sans alcohol, like shamrock shakes, shamrock punch, or this frozen hot cocoa.

Everyone is going to love this frozen white hot chocolate. It’s got the smooth and creamy taste of white chocolate and can be topped with sprinkles or Lucky Charms marshmallows to make it super festive.

Not to mention it also has a lovely green hue, thanks to a few drops of food coloring.

With heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk, this is not the poor quality hot chocolate that comes in those little packs. This frozen white hot chocolate packs a flavorful punch that will have everyone asking for more.

This frozen white hot chocolate would be wonderful for kids parties or just staying at home with the kiddos this St. Patrick’s Day.

How to Make St. Patrick’s Day Frozen Hot Chocolate

In a pot over medium heat, mix together whipping cream, condensed milk, milk, white chocolate chips, and food coloring.

Cook for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let cool completely.

Green liquid and ice in blender.

In a blender, add about 5 cups of ice and 2 cups of chocolate mixture.

Blend until thick and pour into glasses.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups whole milk, or 2%
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips , or white melting chocolate
  • green food coloring
  • ice

Instructions

  • In a pot over medium heat, mix together whipping cream, condensed milk, milk, white chocolate chips, and food coloring.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Turn heat to low and allow to simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and alllow to cool completely.
  • In a blender, add about 2 cups of ice and 1 cup of green chocolate mixture.
  • Blend until thick and pour into glasses.
  • Garnish with whipped topping, fun sprinkles, and/or lucky charms marshmallows.

Notes

Add a bit of mint extract to give the drink that minty shamrock shake taste.
