  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • red food dye
  • red Jolly Rancher candies, crushed

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup salted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • red food dye
  • red jolly rancher candies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, sugar, and salt until combined. Then, add egg, milk, and vanilla, stirring to combine. Next, add flour and baking powder, stirring well until dry ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Mix in a few drops of food coloring. Add more as needed to get desired color.
  4. Lightly flour the counter and roll dough out to a ⅛ of an inch.
  5. Dip a large heart cookie cutter into flour and use it cut out the cookies. Place cookies onto prepared cookie sheet.
  6. Dip a smaller heart cookie cutter into flour and cut a heart from the center of the large cookie heart. Remove dough.
  7. Fill center of heart with red crushed candy.

    These are so pretty, I have seen stained glass cookies before but have never tried making them. I usually make something for dinner or dessert that is heart shaoed and these cookies would be perfect.
