This DIY rustic wood slice Rudolph the red nosed reindeer ornament is easy to make and will look great on your Christmas tree.
As we officially enter the holiday season, I decided that it is time to start sharing some fun and easy DIY ornaments projects to make for the Christmas tree.
This DIY reindeer ornament is super simple to make, and a great craft to have the kids make to get in the holiday spirit.
We used red pom-poms to make ours be Rudolph, but you can use brown pom-poms and make regular reindeer instead.
If you are having the kids help make these, be sure to have the holes pre-drilled as that is a step for adults only. Or, you could opt to use glue to attach the ribbon instead.

Making Your DIY Wood Slice Reindeer Ornament:
Begin by drilling a small hole in the top of your wood slices. (Skip this step if you purchased wood slices with a pre-drilled hole, or plan to use glue to attach the ribbon instead.)
Next, glue 2 googly eyes to the front of the wood slice.
Then, use glue to attach a red sparkly pom pom to the front of your wood slice.
Attach two mini red clothespins to the top of your wood slice, one above each eye.
Thread a piece of ribbon through the hole in your wood slice. Then, tie the ribbon to make a loop that will be used to hang your ornament. Or, you can opt to use glue to attach the ribbon to the back of your wood slice if you do not wish to use a drill.
I hope that you enjoy this fun DIY rustic reindeer ornament and have a very Merry Christmas!
