Looking for an easy ornament craft for kids? This snowball fight ornament is fun and easy to make, and a cute homemade addition to your Christmas tree.
What I really love about this particular Christmas tree ornament craft is that it is easy enough for even the smallest kids to make. The only hard part is painting the sign, which you’ll want to do for them.
You can take things one step further by painting the bucket whatever color you want and changing the color of the foam balls used. Just have fun with it. You could even make several to hang on your tree in different colors.
Or, if you partake in the Elf on The Shelf fun this time or year, you can even have fun with your little ones by telling them you’re hanging the ornament on the tree for the elves to play with. Hide the ornament the next morning and place little glittery balls and an empty pail around the floor under the tree. Your kids will think the elves really did have a snowball fight.
If you’re a teacher, this craft is great to do with your students in the classroom. It’s easy for them to make and you can usually pick up the supplies at your local dollar store, which makes this craft super affordable. Best of all, this will be a ornament that parents are going to treasure for years to come.

How to Make Snowball Fight Ornaments:
Begin by cutting a piece of red craft foam into a rectangle or other similar sign shape.
Use a fine tipped paintbrush (or paint pen) to paint the words “Snowball Fight” on your red craft foam sign in white.
Fill a pail with your white glittery craft foam balls. Use craft glue to make sure the foam balls stay in place.
Once the paint has dried on your foam sign, glue it to the front of the snowball filled pail.
Tie a loop of ribbon around the handle of the pail to hang your ornament from.
