The easy side dish pairs well with steak, chicken, or fish, but especially pairs well with Asian cuisine.

Like creamed corn and sweet potato casserole, pan-seared asparagus makes the perfect side dish for the holidays, or for any time of year.
Pan-Seared Asparagus Ingredients

First, let’s take a look at the short list of ingredients that you will need to make this easy recipe:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 bundle asparagus, washed and trimmed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp water
I used P.F. Chang’s® Home Menu Soy Sauce for this recipe. I love how P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Sauces make it easy to prepare authentic Asian cuisine, right at home.
Pan Seared Asparagus with Soy Sauce and Garlic Recipe

First, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until the garlic begins to turn golden brown, stirring occasionally.

Next, add asparagus, soy sauce, and water to skillet. Roll asparagus to coat and cook evenly.

When asparagus is tender, but firm, remove from heat and serve immediately.

P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Soy Sauce was just what I needed for my easy pan seared asparagus recipe. The sauce is packed with awesome flavor, and it really is the star ingredient in this recipe. You can find the soy sauce in the Asian Foods aisle at Walmart

First time cooking asparagus and this turned out great.
Definitely going to try this recipe!!!
Never brown garlic. It will ruin the flavor of the dish. Just saute for 1 minute until tender.
I agree with the comments about cooking the garlic. However, I’m surprised you didn’t mention trimming the asparagus stalks. That’s a must. Also, thick stalks should be peeled. From a culinary school grand and long time cooking instructor.
The ingredients call for trimmed asparagus but you make a good point – perhaps adding a note in the recipe explaining how to trim the asparagus stalks would be helpful.
i want your Recipe please that look so Good.
