Below you will find recipes for a single witches brew cocktail as well as a witches brew punch for a crowd.
Bright green, and with colorful worms poking out of it, this witch’s brew Halloween cocktail looks like something that you would find a witch mixing up in her cauldron.
The spooky green cocktail is perfect for serving up at a Halloween party or making just for the adults after a busy night of taking the littles trick-or-treating.
Ingredients and Substitutions
Here is what you will need to make this colorful Halloween drink:
- Vodka – Regular vodka or berry-flavored vodka works well for this cocktail.
- Hawaiian Punch Green Berry Rush – This is what the drink gets it green color. Grab a jug of the inexpensive bright green drink at Walmart, most local grocery stores, or order a pack of the smaller bottles on Amazon.
- Sprite – 7up, Sierra Mist, or any other lemon-lime soda would also work
- Gummy worms – optional, but they really add a fun and creepy touch to the Halloween cocktail. We used these sour gummy worms.
- Halloween nonpareils – optional, for rimming the glass. Sanding sugar would be great as well.
- Corn Syrup – only needed if you want to rim the glass. Honey or melted chocolate would also work.
How to Make
- Optional: Rim wine glass.
- Pour vodka, Sprite, and Hawaiian Punch over ice in a wine glass.
- Stir, garnish, and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Add a paper straw (or two) to each drink to dress it up a bit and add another pop of color.
- This witches brew cocktail recipe can easily be doubled or tripled and stirred together in a pitcher for a party (or see punch recipe below).
- For a kid-friendly Halloween mocktail simply leave out the vodka. Or make the kids this fun Hocus Pocus Punch.
- Serve with witch hat cookies or witch hat cupcakes for a fun witch-themed Halloween party!
Witches Brew Punch
If you are entertaining, consider making your witches brew in a punch bowl so guests can serve themselves.
Here is a recipe for 1 ¼ gallons of witches brew:
- 1 (750ml) bottle vodka (26 oz)
- 1 (2-liter) sprite (68 oz)
- ½ (1 gallon) Green Berry Rush Hawaiian Punch (64 oz)
Simply add everything to your punch bowl and stir it together.
This will make enough for about 40 (4-ounce) servings. I would recommend one batch of the punch for 12 people.
Tips:
- Freeze some of the Green Berry Rush Hawaiian Punch in ice cube trays to make ice to keep the punch cool without watering it down.
- Feel free to prepare the punch using more or less vodka, according to your personal prefrences.
- Float some plastic eyeballs in the punch bowl and hang some gummy worms off the side of the punch bowl for a spooky touch.
