Strawberry jello shots are easy to make with vodka and topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries for a tasty adults-only party treat.

These strawberry vodka jello shots taste delicious and go down so smoothly. They are basically like a dessert and cocktail wrapped into one.

If you have never made jello shots before these easy jello shots are the perfect beginner’s recipe. They one call for one flavor of Jello mix and one type o liquor- vodka.

That said, if you are more of a tequila or rum person feel free to switch it up. The recipe will work with basically any liquor.

Once you master this basic jello shot recipe try something more complex such as layered jello shots, blue Hawaiian jello shots, or strawberry lemonade jello shots served in lemon slices.

Ingredients

Making these jello shots is easy.

Start by gathering everything that you will need:

  • 1 (3 oz) package of strawberry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup vodka
  • 2 oz. containers with lids
  • whipped cream & fresh strawberries, optional topping

How to make vodka jello shots

  1. Combine jello mix and boiling water. Stir until the Jello mix is fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in cold water and vodka. Cool for 20 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Pour into containers and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours (or overnight).
  4. Top with whipped cream and/or strawberries before serving, if desired.

Recipe Tips

Easy carrying: Place your jello shot cups in a baking pan or muffin tin (as shown above) for easy transport to and from the fridge for chilling.

Strong jello shots: For stronger jello shots replace the 1/2 cup of cold water with an additional 1/2 cup of vodka, for a total of 1 cup of vodka. Or go try 3/4 cup vodka and 1/4 cup water.

Party ready: Use a disposable foil baking pan and disposable 2 oz cups for easy party transport and clean up.

Make ahead: Make the night before your party or event so that they will have plenty of time to set and you won’t have to worry about making them the day of.

Switch it up: Try the recipe with different liquors or different flavors of jello.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 3 oz. package of strawberry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup vodka
  • whipped cream and fresh strawberries optional topping

Instructions

  • Add jello mix to a medium-sized bowl. Stir in boiling water, and mix for 2 minutes, or until Jello is fully dissolved.
  • Stir in cold water and vodka. Allow to cool for 20 minutes at room temperature. Pour into containers and refrigerate until set, about 2 hours (or overnight).
  • Top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries before serving, if desired.

Notes
