Here is What You Will Need
- Packaged cheese and cracker sticks
- Blue gelatin cups
- Orange or peach fruit cups
- Banana
- Scissors
- Low temperature hot glue gun*
- Lollipop sticks (or toothpicks, or skewers, but lollipop sticks would be safest)
- Black marker
- Googly eyes
- Black, yellow, orange, red, white and green craft foam
NOTE: To help reduce the chance of the hot glue melting the plastic packaging on the snacks used in the crafts below, I would suggest not applying the hot glue directly to the plastic.Instead, apply the hot glue to the craft foam or googly eyes that you will be adhering to the plastic, and then allow it to cool down for a few seconds before sticking it to the plastic.
Pilgrim Bananas
Supplies:
- Scissors
- Black, yellow, and white craft foam
- Low temperature hot glue gun
- Banana
- Black marker
Instructions:
Cut out the shapes needed for the pilgrim hat from the black, white, and yellow craft foam. The photo above can be referenced for the various shapes needed.
Next, glue the black brim onto the black Pilgrim hat.
Then, glue on the white hat band as well as the yellow buckle.
Once the hat is completed, use the hot glue gun to affix the Pilgrim hat over the stem of the banana.
Finally, use a black marker add a face to the banana.
Mayflower Jello Cups
Supplies:
- White craft foam
- Scissors
- Lollipop sticks (or toothpicks, or skewers — but lollipop sticks would be the safest)
- Blue gelatin cups
Instructions:
Cut a large white triangle with a flattened top out of the white craft foam.
Cut the triangle into three pieces. The pieces need to be thick enough to be threaded onto a stick.
Using scissors, gently poke two holes in the center of each of the three pieces of white craft foam, one at the top and one at the bottom.
Thread the stick through the bottom hole of each piece and then the top. Start with the widest piece of craft foam, and top the stick with the smallest piece.
Poke a hole into the top of the blue Jello container and insert your sail.

Pumpkin Fruit Cups
