A red, white, and blue marshmallow creme fudge recipe for the 4th of July.
Ingredients
2 1/2cupsgranulated sugar
1/2cupbutter
5ounceevaporated milk
2cupsmarshmallow creme
8ouncewhite chocolate chips
red and blue food coloring
Instructions
Prepare your pan. If using a silicone mold, spray lightly with non-stick spray. If you are using a glass baking dish, line with parchment paper and spray lightly with non-stick spray as well -- just to be safe.
In a large saucepan, heat sugar, butter and evaporated milk over medium heat, stirring frequently.
Once it comes to a boil, continue boiling lightly while stirring constantly for 5 additional minutes.
Remove from heat and add marshmallow creme and white chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
Note: The fudge will being to set fast, so work quickly. Reheat if necessary.
Divide the mixture into 3 bowls. Tint one red, one blue and keep one white.
Pour the red mixture into the dish followed by the white and finished with the blue.
If you want, you can use a knife to swirl the colors around or for a layered look keep the fudge as is.
Let the fudge cool completely before slicing and serving. To speed up the process place fudge in the freezer for about an hour.
