Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and add the chicken breasts.
Coat the chicken with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 20 minutes.
Brush barbecue sauce over both sides of the chicken. Bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F.
Brush on one more coat of BBQ sauce during the last 5 minutes of baking.
Let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
