This easy homemade cranberry sauce is sweet, tangy, and full of bright citrus flavor. Made in under 15 minutes with simple ingredients, it's the perfect side dish for your holiday table.
Ingredients
½cupgranulated sugar
½cuporange juice
¼cuphoney
¼cupwater
⅛teaspooncoarse kosher salt
12ouncesfresh or frozen cranberriesabout 3 cups
1cinnamon stick
Instructions
To a medium saucepan, add the sugar, orange juice, honey, water, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring often, until it comes to a simmer.

Add the cranberries and cinnamon stick. Stir over medium heat for 7 to 10 minutes or until most of the berries have popped and the sauce has thickened up a bit.
12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries, 1 cinnamon stick
Remove the cinnamon stick. Set aside for 30 minutes to allow the sauce to cool before serving. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen cranberries. No need to thaw frozen berries.
Want a chunkier sauce? Simmer for less time and stir gently. For a smoother sauce, cook longer and stir continuously.
Can be made up to 3 days ahead. Store in the fridge and bring to room temperature before serving.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.
