Whether you are looking for the perfect Easter dessert or simply a fun treat to make with the kids this Spring, these Rice Krispie Nests are sure to be a hit. They are easy to make, super adorable, and delicious too!
Coat 2 muffin tins with non-stick spray and set aside.
In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows and continue stirring until melted and smooth.
Remove from heat, pour in rice cereal, and stir gently until cereal is well-coated.
Press the rice krispie treat mixture into the cups of the muffin pan, making an indention in the center of each to create little nests.
Allow the nests to set (about 20 minutes) and then remove from the muffin tin.
Add grass and 3 mini eggs to each nest.
Notes
Greasing your hands with cookie spray can help keep the sticky mixture from sticking to your hands when pressing it into the muffin tin cups.Work quickly to form the nests with the cereal mixture before it begins to set up. It hardens pretty quickly.Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
