easy holiday dessert idea!


Step 1

In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add eggs and vanilla; beat until combined.

In a bowl, whisk to combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and mix just until combined.

Spread the cookie dough into the prepared pan in an even layer. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. Stir in holiday chips.

Press dough into a parchment-lined baking dish. Bake until puffed and lightly golden brown. Then set aside to cool fully.

Whip together softened butter and powdered sugar. Add the milk and whip again until fluffy and spreadable.

Spread frosting over the top of the cooled cookie bars. Top with holiday sprinkles and/or baking chips. Slice into bars and serve.
