Of course our Big Game party will be looking a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t still be fun.
I stocked up on all our Big Game essentials from Kraft Heinz, Vanity Fair® and Dixie® at Walmart and am looking forward to a night in with the family, cheering on our favorite team and enjoying some tasty game day eats.
Speaking of tasty game day eats, this year I decided to turn our favorite dip into a delicious bite-sized appetizer. Enter Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip Bites!
Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip Bites
Made with creamy Philadelphia® Cream Cheese, and melted Velveeta® and topped with crispy Oscar Mayer® Naturally Hardwood Smoked Bacon, these cheesy spinach dip bites are sure to be the MVP of our Big Game spread.

Oscar Mayer® is America’s favorite bacon for a reason. It is full of smokey flavor that can’t be beaten. We love enjoying it for breakfast, on egg salad sandwiches with bacon for lunch, and incorporating it into apps like these spinach dip bites.
Likewise, Philadelphia® Cream Cheese sets the standard when it comes to quality. Its ultra-creamy texture and fresh flavor make it my go-to cream cheese.
Velveeta® is the choice to use in dips like this one. It melts so smoothly and perfectly every time! TOUCHDOWN!
Although our Big Game celebration will be smaller this year, it doesn’t mean that the flavors can’t be BIG! These dip bites are packed with flavor–cheesy, bacony goodness with a bit of heat.
The best part is that with this tasty twist on classic spinach dip, everyone gets their own dip bites — no sharing chips and dip from a large bowl.
Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip Bite Ingredients
With just 6 ingredients, these spinach dip bites couldn’t be easier to make.
Here is what you need:
- 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent dough
- 1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 pound (16 ounces) VELVEETA, cut into ½ -inch cubes
- 4 ounces (½ of 8-ounce package) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 can (10 ounces) RO*TEL Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, undrained
- 8 slices OSCAR MAYER Naturally Hardwood Smoked Bacon, cooked and crumbled, divided
How to Make Spinach and Bacon Dip Bites
First, heat the oven to 375°F and coat 2 mini muffin tins with nonstick cooking spray.
Next, roll out 1 sheet of crescent dough, pinching the seams together.
Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough sheet into 6 rows by 4 rows to make 24 squares.
Press each square into a mini muffin cup. Repeat with the remaining roll of crescent dough.
In a large bowl, combine the spinach, VELVEETA, cream cheese, RO*TEL and half of the bacon.
Add a tablespoon of the filling into each dough-lined cup.
Top each bite with a sprinkle of the remaining bacon.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the edges are golden brown.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing from the tray.
Serve warm and enjoy while watching the game.
How to Freeze
Since there will be just a few of us watching the game together this year I will be freezing our extra dip bites for us to enjoy later.
To freeze, allow the bites to cool fully, and then place in a zip-top freezer baggie. Freeze for up to 3 months. To serve, allow the bites to thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating in the microwave.

Cheesy Spinach and Bacon Dip Bites
Ingredients
