All you need is a packet of your favorite Kool-Aid flavor, some sweetened condensed milk, whipped topping, and a graham cracker crust.   • Unsweetened Kool-Aid Mix — Use any flavor you like! Regular cherry is our favorite, but black cherry or strawberry would be yummy, too, or perhaps orange for more of an orange creamsicle flavor.
  • Whipped Topping — You’ll need an 8-oz tub of whipped topping, such as Cool Whip. Or use my homemade stabilized whipped cream recipe as a replacement. Either one will give the pie a perfectly light and fluffy texture.
  • Graham Cracker Crust — You can use any pie crust, but a premade graham cracker pie crust makes this recipe super easy and adds crunch and texture to the pie.
  • Whipped Cream and Maraschino Cherries — These are optional, but they make this delicious dessert look pretty and add a little extra sweetness, too.

How to Make Kool Aid Pie

Step 1: Add the sweetened condensed milk and the contents of the Kool-Aid packet to a large bowl. Whisk the ingredients together until they’re well combined.

Step 2: Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip. Do not overmix.

Step 3: Pour the pie filling into the store-bought crust. Run your spatula over the top to even it out.

Step 4: Cover the pie and place in the freezer for at least 2 hours or the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Step 5: Once the pie is set, top it with whipped cream and/or maraschino cherries before serving.

Storage and Freezing

Refrigerator: Store Kool Aid pie in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Cover it with a pie pan cover or plastic wrap.

Freezer: You can freeze this no-bake pie for up to 2 months. Serve it frozen or thaw it overnight in the fridge.

  • Don’t overmix the pie filling. It will cause the whipped topping to deflate, and your pie won’t be as light and airy.
  • Serve slightly frozen to make neater slices when cutting the pie.
  • Make mini pies in tart pans or muffin tins so you don’t have to fuss with cutting a pie.

Additions and Variations to This No-Bake Kool Aid Pie Recipe

Try different flavor variations. Instead of cherry Kool-Aid, try orange, lemonade, strawberry, raspberry, pink lemonade, or lemon-lime. You can swap out the flavor every time, so this is one dessert you’ll never get bored with!

You sure can. This no bake dessert recipe is even better if it sits in the fridge overnight, so feel free to make it a day ahead of time.

Can I use Jell-O powder instead?

If you don’t want to use Kool-Aid, you can use a packet of sugar-free Jell-O instead. Make sure it’s sugar-free, though, because the sweetened condensed milk and Cool Whip make this pie plenty sweet enough without added sugar.

Ingredients
 

  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 packet Kool-Aid we used cherry
  • 8 ounces whipped topping thawed (Cool Whip)
  • 1 graham cracker crust 9 inches
  • whipped cream and maraschino cherries optional garnish

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk with the Kool-Aid until fully combined.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  • Pour filling into graham cracker crust.
  • Cover and freeze for at least 2 hours or refrigerate for at least 4 before serving.
  • Serve chilled or frozen. Top with whipped cream and/or cherries before serving, if desired.
